Wagner College’s Union Gallery has unveiled the winners of the highly anticipated High School Student Art Competition & Exhibition! After reviewing an impressive array of submissions from local high school students, the Wagner College Visual Arts Faculty revealed the top three winners at the opening reception on March 9th.

The exhibition is open to the public and features the submitted works, which will be on display in the Union Gallery until March 27. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the incredible talent of Staten Island’s young artists!

Congratulations to the winners:

  • First Place ($150): Sofia Nielson, Notre Dame Academy High School. Grade 12, MR. HAPPY PANTS, 24” x 36”, Mixed Media
  • Second Place ($100): Madison Hoerle, Notre Dame Academy. Grade 12. ANXIETY, Acrylic Paint,  14” x 11”
  • Third Place ($75): Olivia Marange, Saint Joseph Hill Academy, Grade 11
    AS BEAUTIFUL as a Flower, 12” x 9”, Watercolor
  • Honorable Mention: Nora Venterina, Saint Joseph Hill Academy. Grade 11. TECH TEST, 11” x 17”, digital art (Procreate).
  • Honorable Mention: Maia Konowitz,  Susan E. Wagner High School. Grade 11. SUNDAY AFTERNOON, 20” x 16” (unframed), acrylic paint.

Wagner College is proud to have offered this exciting opportunity for local high school students to participate in a juried exhibition, adjudicated by a panel of distinguished art and art history professors from Wagner College.

Wagner College Union Art Gallery is committed to providing a platform for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work in a professional and supportive environment.
