If you are someone that is interested in math and numbers, then accounting may be right for you. At the Nicolais School of Business, our accounting minor is designed to give students an overview on how to fully maintain and audit detailed financial accounts. They study the theory behind accounting and learn how to analyze the financial position of a firm or organization. Many of our professors are licensed CPAs and are willing to offer career support and advice.  Curriculum – required courses

At the Nicolais School of Business, our finance minor is designed to give students an overview of the study of financial management which includes time value of money, measurement of risk and return, analysis of financial statements, and capital structure.  Curriculum – required courses

Managers are individuals that oversee and lead an organization or a department’s operations. They work to ensure the company remains productive, efficient, and organized at all times by implementing operational strategies and conducting performance reviews. Through the management minor, at the Nicolais School of Business, you will build a broad foundation in business and leadership, so you can successfully manage your own set of employees one day. Through case studies and experiential exercises, you will learn how motivation, group dynamics, and other organizational behaviors affect employees and their productivity.  Curriculum – required courses

Marketing is at the center of any successful enterprise, whether it’s a financial institution, a professional sports team, or a retail store. It spans disciplines like research and analytics, advertising, product management, and sales. The Nicolais School’s marketing minor teaches students to think strategically and to make smart business decisions that benefit not only companies and individuals, but also society at large. Students learn marketing’s primary functions: consumer behavior, market research, and marketing strategy.  Curriculum – required courses

At Wagner College, a degree in business prepares you to be an effective decision-maker and leader in both the private and public sectors through a strong practical business education. The business administration minor is designed to give non-business majors an overview of business principles. Through introductory courses in accounting, finance, marketing, and management, students will learn overarching business principles and necessary business acumen designed to foster future success. Bulletin Description: A minor in Business Analytics will prepare students to make data-informed business decisions. Through this minor, students will acquire descriptive and predictive analytical skills along with data visualization and data story-telling. Students will learn how to use data to make strategic business decisions.
