SPA Executive Board & Mentors

Spencer is a junior from San Diego, CA with a double major in finance and economics. On campus, Spencer is highly involved with different organizations. He is the president of Student Professionals Association, vice president of Student Athlete Advisory Committee, a member of the Student Alumni Association, a member of the Business Department Student Advisory Committee and a member of the Finance Club. He is also on the men’s lacrosse team. His career interest is in wealth management, and he hopes to become a financial advisor. Spencer has interned for a variety of companies, ranging from sales to hedge funds to wealth management and investment banking. Spencer is excited to be the president of SPA and to help get other Wagner students ready for their professional lives after college.


Eric Cedeno

Vice President

Eric is a senior pursuing a degree in finance with a minor in economics. His professional career officially began right as his first year of college came to and, when he worked in the finance department of Northwell Health, the largest health system in New York. The following spring, Eric had an opportunity to intern for the US Securities Exchange Commission, where he took part in a series of investigations  to ensure all securities regulations were being followed accordingly. This past spring, he interned for a private equity firm called North Brookside Capital, where he conducted industry and market research on a regular basis. Currently, Eric works for the joint venture arm of the Northwell Health System, where the main objective is to expand Northwell operations through strategic partnerships.


Morgan Kimm

Vice President of Communications

Morgan is a sophomore English major from Minneapolis, MN. This past semester, she interned at the New York City Office of Emergency Management’s Ready New York Program, where she taught NYC youth how to prepare for emergency situations. Morgan will be returning to work with them this coming fall and is super excited to share her experience with SPA!


Aidan Alvarez

Vice President of Finance

Aidan is a senior from New Milford, NJ with a double major in finance and Spanish. He has held numerous internships in the financial sector. This fall, Aidan will be interning at Wall Street Access and is currently studying for the Series 7 exam.  He is excited to share his experiences with SPA this coming year.


Megan Pulley

Vice President of Philanthropy

Megan is from Albert Lea, MN. She is a senior business administration major with a concentration in finance. Megan is president of the Finance Club and is also on the women’s golf team. For the past two summers, she has interned for Alliance Benefit Group North Central States (ABGNCS) in Albert Lea, MN, a company that provides recordkeeping and administration for retirement plans, among other various services such as health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA). This past summer, Megan interned for Alerus Retirement and Benefits (formerly ABGNCS), where she worked in the sales and marketing department.


Michelle Detka

Vice President of Operations

Michelle is a Wagner alumna from Buckeye, AZ. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and is now a graduate student in Wagner’s microbiology program. After attending the University of Houston for two years, Michelle transferred to Wagner, where she was able to continue her swimming career as a D1 athlete and pursue her love of medicine. During her undergraduate career, Michelle was on the women’s swim team and served as president of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society.

Michelle hopes to attend medical school after completing her graduate program. For four summers, she has shadowed nurses in labor and delivery at the Abrazo West Valley Hospital in Arizona. Michelle has also had the opportunity to shadow a talented doctor at his own internal medicine and pediatrics practice. Michelle’s experience has allowed her to network with many doctors and gain a better understanding of the expectations that medical schools have for their applicants.


Megan Fritz

Vice President of Public Relations

Megan is a senior finance major with a minor in journalism. She hopes to enter the media industry with a focus on media investments. Megan currently interns on the public affairs team at the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids, where she helps curate content for website and marketing usage. Megan is currently the editor-in-chief of the Wagnerian, Wagner’s student run newspaper, overseeing all operations in relation to development, production, and distribution of the newspaper. Megan serves as community engagement director for Wagner College Broadcast Group (WCBG) and is captain of the women’s soccer team. She is also a member of the Women’s Professional Network (WPN) and a part of numerous honor societies and advisory boards. As an executive board member of SPA, Megan is eager to expand the organization’s interaction with students and professional members of Wagner’s community.


Mandi is a senior government and politics major with a minor in business management from Denton, TX. She is an honors student and D1 women’s water polo player at Wagner.  Mandi is involved with various organizations on campus; some of her leadership positions include president of the Student Alumni Association, editor of the Opinions section of the Wagnerian, and member of the Women’s Professional Network. This past summer, Mandi interned at the New York Mayor’s Office of Budget Management (OMB); the previous summer, she interned with a Texas congressman. This fall, Mandi will be an intern at the New York County District Attorney’s Office.  As a SPA mentor, Mandi hopes to share her expertise with those interested in government.


Anthony Arpaia


Anthony is a junior nursing major from Staten Island, NY, who is also pursuing a minor in English, writing and journalism. In addition to volunteering as an EMT, Anthony is currently working on his fiction writing. It is his hope that in addition to securing a nursing externship, Anthony will eventually obtain a screenwriting internship at a development house.


Anthony is a senior from Ewing, NJ. He is focusing on pre-med studies, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. Anthony seeks ways to channel his love of science toward improving communities in practical and meaningful ways. In the summer of 2014, he worked with Educational Testing Service (ETS) on the development of a virtual science lab for middle school students to help foster critical thinking. Although Anthony felt tremendous fulfillment from the work that he did with ETS, he was interested pursuing more clinical exposure to medicine. In the summer of 2015, Anthony participated in a pre-medical enrichment internship (PULSE) at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. After a summer of learning microbiology and mentoring children at the local homeless shelter, he was motivated to understand more about the research behind medicine. This past summer, while at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Anthony studied atrial fibrosis and its role in sudden heart failure. At Wagner, Anthony is a member of the Bonner Leaders Program. His experience has shaped his interests and he is excited to share those experiences with others through SPA.


Charlton is a junior from Shreveport, LA and is a double major in government and politics and history. He is very involved on campus, currently serving as Vice President of the Student Government Association and as captain of the men’s tennis team. Charlton has interned for a US Senator on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC and is currently interning for Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign.


Jackie is a senior finance major with an economics minor from Middletown, NJ. She is a member of the women’s basketball team here at Wagner. Jackie is currently interning at JPMorgan Chase in the Financial Analyst Development Program, where she is working specifically in legal finance and business management.


Jen is a senior finance and economics double major.  She is involved on campus as a member of the dance team, Student Alumni Association, and Women’s Professional Network. Jen also works as a peer tutor.  She is currently interning at UBS Financial Services in the wealth management division and has previously interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission.


John is a junior finance major with a minor in math. He moved to the US three years ago from Gislaved, Sweden. John has held two internships; this past summer, he worked with an equity research analyst at a firm called Avondale Partners LLC,  headquartered in Nashville, TN. In addition to his studies and intern duties, John is also on the men’s hockey and tennis teams at Wagner.


Sourajit is a senior Spanish major with a double minor in English and government and politics. He has held various internships, from working for the New York City Office of the Mayor to helping various nonprofits, such as the Queens Borough Public Library. Sourajit has spent the past two summers in South Korea, interning for the Office of International Affairs at Dankook University.
