Graduation Stole Ceremony
The Graduation Stole Ceremony has been long held at Wagner College and other leading academic institutions to celebrate the invaluable contributions made by the Men of Color initiative and Women of Color Initiative to the advancement of scholarship, leadership, service, and community development.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year's ceremony will be hybrid with attendance from graduating seniors receiving the graduation stole and an individual within the community to bestow the graduation stole on each graduate. In person, attendance is by invitation only however virtual viewing is open to the public.

Trans Remembrance Day
Wagner College will be observing Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) on Monday, Nov 22nd. TDOR is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) was started in 1999 by transgender advocate Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. The vigil commemorated all the transgender people lost to violence since Rita Hester's death, and began an important tradition that has become the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (GLAAD.org)
