He oversees Residential Education, Student Engagement & Activities, and student facing experiences like Orientation. Thomas joined the Wagner community in the Office of Residential Education in June 2016 as the Assistant Director. In September 2018, Thomas was promoted to the Director of Residential Education and Retention Specialist. Thomas is also a member of the college's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. He is passionate about supporting and developing meaningful experiences for how students can be integrated and thrive in the Wagner community.
He has previously worked in housing and residential life at the University at Buffalo, SUNY, Georgia Southern University, and SUNY Purchase College. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Siena College (2011), a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University at Buffalo, SUNY (2014), and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Wagner College (2019). He is a current Doctor of Education (EdD) candidate in the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University. Thomas also serves in the Presidential rotation for the Northeast Association of College and University Housing Officers (NEACUHO) beginning in October 2021 and concluding in October 2024. In his spare time, Thomas enjoys venturing into the theater district to continue his quest for seeing as much theater as possible, spending time with his husband, Kevin, and their dogs, Nash & Dottie.
