Winter Training began on Sunday January 14th at 6pm with check-ins, pizza, and of course many fun icebreakers. Daily workshops and activities ranging from vision boards to line dancing and even (unsuccessfully) solving Leo’s "murder" made up about half of the schedule.
Some of the other time was spent on trips off campus, the first one taking place on Wednesday: an excursion to the Bonner foundation in Princeton, New Jersey. There, students had lunch, a tour, workshops, and a visit with the foundation staff including President Robert Hackett.
Thursday included a few hours of volunteering at a food pantry for the freshman and decorating school bulletin boards. That day concluded with an excursion to Manhattan for a show at a comedy club. Friday, the final day of training, was made up of activities on campus in the morning and a tour of UN in the afternoon, then wrapped up with a final activity in the 8th floor common room. Winter training was a fun week that can best be summed up as bonding, meals from Hawk's, and Bonner love.
