Internships, Careers, and Global Opportunities
An English major can lead to a wide variety of successful careers. Towards the goal of preparing its students for the job market and a civically responsible life after college, Wagner encourages its majors to participate in internships, volunteer work, and other extra-curricular activities before they graduate. One useful resource for students is the Center for Academic and Career Engagement. Such internships, experiential learning, student teaching, or other forms of career-oriented personal development are integrated into the senior seminar and senior reflective tutorial required of all English majors.
If you are an alum, we’d love to hear from you about your experiences so that we can share them with our current students; please fill out this form.
