Guatemalan Encounters: Paint Fusion Party
My birthday celebrations continued with a party called "Paint Fusion" at a club in Guatemala called Sin Prive. I had never gone to this place until that night. Well, I lie... the last time I ever went there, about three years ago, it was under another name. In Guatemala, the life of a club is of about the length of the summer, and the "it" club changes regularly.
My sister was the one who told me that everyone was going to Sin Prive and that I had to go. She is 17 years old, and I thought that if she was going to that club there would only be kids her age. It turned out that people from ages 15-25 go to that club and they all have a good time. At first I did not want to go, but later one of my close friends told me that we should go to celebrate my birthday. I looked into this club and found out that there was going to be a party called "Paint Fusion," and in that instant I decided that I did want to go.
The description of the event said to wear clothes to ruin and destroy, and so we did. I wore a pair of old ripped jeans and a white tank top. When we got to the club the first thing that happened was that we got splashed with glow-in-the-dark paint. The party had begun.
As the night went on, more and more paint was thrown at everyone on the dance floor. Everyone was dancing the night away, and we were all trying to keep our ground since the paint also splashed our faces and it was hard to see. With lighting effects, it was amazing!
The club has two floors, and the dance floor was the area where everyone who wanted to get painted went. The second floor was the VIP area, for people who did not want to get dirty. By the end of the night, most of the people from the VIP area saw how much fun everyone was having and decided to join the party. I saw several of my high school friends up there, but I was only minding my own fun with my sister, cousin, and other close friends.
It was an insane party. Sometimes I forget that Latin parties can get really fun and unforgettable.
