Meet Christian!

Christian rocks the red carpet at Fashion's Night Out.

What’s charming, exotic and fun all over? It’s new Hawk Talk blogger Christian Grotewold. I got the chance to sit down and talk to Christian about what makes him so absolutely amazing. Just by looking at Christian you can tell this guy is in the know. On our first meeting he was wearing a very cool, Fashion’s Night Out t-shirt. One of the perks of living in a major metropolitan city is getting to go to some fun and fashionable events. Which Christian has obviously rocked.

Being from Chicago, I occasionally think of myself as exotic to New York City, but when it comes to distance, Christian has me beat. He’s from Guatemala City, Guatemala. Making him, in my opinion, automatically one of the coolest people I know. Only adding to his awesomeness, Christian is an Arts Administration major and loves Wagner College for its highly regarded Arts department. In addition to Wagner’s arts he was attracted to its NYC location and the financial opportunities given to him. His favorite place to visit is a New York hot spot, Rockefeller Center.

Now I have known some hardcore fans in my lifetime. I know quite a few Star fans, be they wars or trek, but never have I encountered a more hard-core fan than Christian. What is his obsession you ask? Nothing other, then the boy who lived, Mr. Harry Potter. Now, I know what you are thinking. This kid can’t be a bigger Potter than me. Well, I am here to tell you, you’re wrong. When I asked Christian his favorite book, he told me Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Favorite movie? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part two, of course. Not to mention his favorite author, can you guess it? J.K. Rowling of course. Christian goes even further then your average Potter fan by wearing the symbol of the Deathly Hallows around his neck and a lighting bolt tattooed on his wrist.

Our conversation hit a somber note when I asked Christian which deceased celebrities he would dine with, should he be given the chance. He choose Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston. Two bold and iconic legends, a perfect match for my fellow bold writer.

If you don’t know Christian yet, get to know him. He is charming and an absolute pleasure to talk to; just don’t challenge him to a duel.
