Meet the Women’s WagLax Freshmen!

Wagner women's lacrosse added eight freshmen to their team for the 2017-2018 season. Here's an inside look on these new Seahawks:

Meet Maddy Seims, a midfielder from Long Island, NY. Maddy was a three sport athlete at W.T Clarke High School. She played lacrosse, field hockey, and ran winter track. Maddy is the oldest and has two younger siblings. Maddy is a business major here at Wagner. Her favorite part about college so far is the positive vibes she gets from the students and the great connections she has made with a variety of people. Maddy's favorite movie is La La Land. She enjoys listening to classic rock and pop music, and her favorite food is Chinese.

 


 Meet Jacqui Thorsen, an attacker/midfield from East Hampton, NY. Jacqui attended East Hampton High School, and played lacrosse, volleyball, and basketball. She is the youngest and has an older brother and sister. Jacqui is majoring in Economics and Business Administration. Her favorite part about Wagner so far has been hanging out with her teammates and getting to know new people. Jacqui likes to listen to all types of music, but her favorite song is "Where the Streets have no Name" by U2. Jacqui's favorite movie is Easy A, and her favorite food is a cheeseburger.


Meet Paige Hommel, an attacker from East Islip, NY. Paige attended St. John Baptist Diocesan High School and played lacrosse. She is the oldest child and has one younger sister. Currently, Paige is undecided with what she will major in but she is starting to lean towards biology. Her favorite thing about college has been getting to know her new teammates. Paige's favorite movie is Bad Moms. She loves chocolate chip pancakes, and her favorite song right now is "I Miss the Old You" by Blackbear.


Meet Noelle Harvey, a defender from Huntington, NY. Noelle played lacrosse and was on the swim and dive team for Huntington High School. She has one older sister Diane who is 23 years old. She is also currently undecided but she plans to follow a course to go pre-med. Noelle's favorite part about college has been the people, especially her WagLax teammates, and how relatable everyone is. She feels welcomed and at home at Wagner. Noelle's favorite movie is Now You See Me, and her favorite song is "You and Me" by Marc E. She loves all food but her favorites are fried rice and french fries.


Meet Torri Tucci, a midfielder from North Brunswick, NJ. Torri attended North Brunswick High School where she was a three sport athlete. She played soccer, lacrosse, and ran cross country. Torri is the youngest and has one older brother. She is currently undecided for her major but is leaning toward biology. Her favorite part about being here at Wagner has been meeting all different types of people and making new friends. Her favorite movie is Sharknado. She loves listening to anything by rapper Fetty Wap, and her favorite food is pasta.


Meet Stefani Peluso, an attacker from Branchburg, NJ. Stefani attended Immaculata High School where she played soccer and lacrosse. She is the oldest child in her family and has one younger brother. Currently Stefani is undecided but she is interested in business and journalism so she is considering those as options. Her favorite thing about Wagner has been meeting new friends and playing college lacrosse. Stefani's favorite movie is a tie between Forrest Gump and The Blind Side. She enjoys listening to hip hop and rap music, and her favorite food is pasta.


Meet Erin Kerstetter, a midfielder from Shamong, NJ. She went to Seneca High school where she played soccer, lacrosse, and ran track. Erin has two brothers who are both older than her. She is majoring to be a nurse. Her favorite thing about college has been making new friends, and she loves the scenery here at Wagner. Erin's favorite movie is Endless Love, and her favorite song is "Treacherous" by Taylor Swift. Erin loves pasta but her favorite is penne alla vodka.


 

Meet Ally Alliegro, a midfielder from Long Island, NY. Ally went to Bayport-Blue Point High School. She was also a three sport athlete and was on the swim team, ran winter track, and played lacrosse. She is the youngest of three children with two older brothers. Ally is undecided with her major as of now. Her favorite thing about college is being on the WagLax team. Ally does not listen to music often so she does not have a favorite song. However, her favorite movie is Marley and Me, and her favorite food is carrots and hummus.
