Our goal is to enhance the health and well being of our students in support of their learning and success.

The Health and Wellness Center embraces a holistic approach to provide accessible, high quality health care. We practice and educate students on the right to health equity, social justice, human dignity and respect for all. We are providers of student centered services, providing professional excellence, responsiveness and ethical practice. We provide a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to well health with active inclusion of student involvement.

ALL full-time undergraduate students taking 12 or more credit hours (4 units) and ALL full-time graduate students taking 9 or more credit hours are required to provide proof of health insurance effective in New York annually.              A copy of the student’s health and prescription insurance cards needs to be on file in the Center for Health and Wellness and kept up to date.

Students having primary insurance may waive the mandatory Wagner College student health insurance by visiting the following link: www.eiia.org/institution/wagner-college (EIIA). This link also provides access to policy information, health insurance ID card, claim forms, and phone contact information. The Student Health Fee offers all students use of our professional staff at the Health and Counseling/Wellness Center.

Access EIIA for details on your wellness access plan

All registered Wagner College students are eligible for care at the Center for Health and Counseling/Wellness Center.   The office functions as a screening, diagnostic and treatment center but does not maintain an infirmary. Students harboring a communicable disease must report to the Center for Health and Wellness for further instructions; after evaluation, arrangements are made for their care with their parents or guardians. In addition we contract Quest and LabCorp laboratory services. Counseling services are available during the academic year.
