Wagner Students “March Against Darfur” in Washington, D.C.

Sixteen Wagner College students marched at the event, their civic engagement sponsored by Project Pericles and the Muslim Student Union. They listened to a wide array of political figures, activists and celebrities, including Steidle, who spoke passionately about his experiences as one of the three U.S. military observers assigned to the African Union (AU) forces in the Sudan where he took over 1000 pictures of genocide.

A former Marine Captain Brian Steidle explains why Americans should care about genocide in the Sudan. Steidle spoke at the "March against Darfur" rally in Washington, D.C. on April 30, 2006, organized by the Save Darfur Coalition. Listen to his speech.
