Master Carpenter -Assist the Technical Director with the  Master Electrician with the supervision of students in lab classes, work-study and in production for all WCT shows.

Typically 4 main stage musicals, 4 supported black box productions and  3 workshops.

The Master Carpenter will supervise students as part of the general production program, supervising the build, paint and load-in of all Wagner College Theatre (WCT) productions, repair and maintain the scenic studio, supervise the WCT productions in performance (split with Master Electrician), assist the TD in supervision of Student Crews.  Work in other production areas as needed. Sound experience would be helpful as WCT does 4 musicals a year.

Good communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.  BA or equivalent production experience.  The position begins August ASAP.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $30,000 - $39,000. Wagner College considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
