ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a member of the Office of Communications and Marketing and reporting to the director, the director of digital media leads content strategy, creation, and curation for all online platforms of the College, including the official wagner.edu website and the College’s major, official social media sites. You will work in concert with a web designer and with Wagner’s IT department on website design and implementation projects, serving as project manager as well as content creator. Training and troubleshooting for website and social media managers across campus is another important part of this position. You will be responsible for monitoring the website’s performance; optimizing it using SEO, Google Analytics, and other tools; and leading updates to comply with Section 508 website accessibility standards. In addition, you will produce video and photography for the College, and lead online marketing efforts in concert with the director. You will be an integral part of the communications and marketing team at Wagner College, which serves the campus through media relations, internal communications, print publications, student recruitment, fundraising, alumni relations, branding and graphic identity, graphic design, photography, and video services.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, with at least two years of experience. Must have a sophisticated eye for multimedia and web production, excellent grammar and copyediting skills, project management experience, and excellent people skills. Must be familiar with current digital best practices and have the ability to keep abreast of trends and adapt to new technologies. Must have working knowledge of WordPress; deep knowledge of the evolving landscape of social media; proficiency with DSLR and video cameras, micing techniques, studio and on-location lighting; proficiency with Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop. Familiarity with After Effects and possession of a Part 107 Drone License are preferred.
