Assistant Professor – Microbiology

Located in Staten Island and overlooking the Manhattan skyline, Wagner College is a private, non-sectarian.., 80% residential college of 1800 traditional-aged undergraduates and 300 graduate students in selected professional programs. The Department of Biological Sciences seeks a Tenure-track Assistant Professor to start in August 2021. Candidates must have expertise in a non-clinical field of microbiology and will be expected to teach varied undergraduate and graduate courses. The individual will be expected to develop a research program involving undergraduate and graduate students. Preference will be given to those candidates with demonstrated experience and success in teaching and research. Previous knowledge in R for statistical analysis is a plus. The candidate will be encouraged to pursue extramural funding to help support their research and teaching initiatives. A completed PhD will be required at the time of appointment.
