NYS Home Inspection Training

This comprehensive course is approved by the NYS Department of Licensing Services and provides the 100 hours of classroom study, that will be delivered virtually via Zoom, and additional 40 hours of onsite instruction required for licensure. You will learn how to conduct a complete home inspection and prepare a comprehensive Home Inspection Report.

Specific topics include:

  • Structural: Exterior & Roof
  • Interior: Insulation, Ventilation & Electrical
  • HVAC: Heating, Cooling and Plumbing
  • The Profession: Licensing Requirements, Ethics & Insurance, Writing Reports and Building Your Business

Experience in the residential or construction industries, and particularly general contracting, is beneficial to class and employment success.

Additional Recommended Text: NHIE Exam Manuals
