Michael Ferman, Dramatic Instructor

Actors’ Equity, SAG & AFTRA; NY, NJ & CA Certified Teacher

An instructor here at the Wagner A.C.T. program since 2009, Michael Ferman is a member of Actors’ Equity , SAG-AFTRA, and the SDC (the national stage directors’ union). He has been a professional actor for almost forty years, and director for almost thirty. In addition to a long list of directorial credits, Michael has appeared in numerous theatrical productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regional Theater, and has performed in over 600 performances on National Tours. Michael has appeared in several Feature and Independent Films and has appeared in guest star roles on a number of network and cable television projects.

Always striving to remain current and become a “master craftsman”, (which he considers to be a life-long artistic goal), Michael continues to study his craft at the prestigious Penny Templeton Studio here in NYC, and with Peter Kelley, the on-set acting consultant for CBS’s primetime dramas. Michael is a state certified Performing Arts teacher in NY, NJ and California, and has been teaching and directing in the NYC public school system for nearly twenty years.
