About Dance

We offer study in a range of disciplines, including ballet, jazz, modern, and tap as well as courses in choreography, history, and criticism. Professional dancers and choreographers regularly offer guest workshops and participate in the program. The minor allows you to explore the wide range of dance techniques while encouraging further development of your personal dancing style.

CLASSES OF NOTE

Musical Theatre Styles

A practical open level dance class designed to familiarize the student with the styles of dance most frequently used in Musical Theatre.

Dance Criticism

A foundation course analyzing various types of dance performance and theories. Students will watch performances and study different types of dance weekly.

Techniques of Choreography

A comprehensive study of choreographic theory and composition. The course is designed to develop the tools for choreography.
