Wagner College is pleased to announce that Thomas Juneau will be its new director of choral activities, starting his full-time duties this coming fall. He has been a part of the Wagner community, as choir director, since last fall.
Juneau earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting degree from Rutgers University. Before coming to Wagner College, he was the director of choral activities at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He has also served as the music director at Summit Chorale and Saint Joseph’s Church.
The Wagner College Choir has a longstanding history and tradition of excellence. We look forward to the continued excellence of the choir under the guidance of Thomas Juneau.
In addition, we wish to thank Roger Wesby for his dedication and commitment to the choir for the past two decades. Wesby came to Wagner College in 1996 with wide-ranging musical and cultural experiences that he poured into his work with the Wagner College Choir. In addition to leading a host of regular performances in New York City and the region, Wesby led the choir on annual national tours as well as several international tours.
Roger Wesby will continue to teach as a professor of music and will direct the new major in music: vocal performance, which will be launched this fall.
