Wagner College awarded 423 bachelor’s degrees during the 2019-20 academic year.
Thirteen of them went to international students.
Of the 410 bachelor's degrees earned by U.S. residents:
- 250 went to residents of the Empire State,
- 102 of whom are Staten Island residents.
Of the 160 bachelor's degrees awarded to those from outside NYS, the most significant numbers were:
- New Jersey — 71
- California — 15
- Pennsylvania —13
- Florida — 12
- Connecticut — 10
- Massachusetts — 9
Of the 187 graduate degrees awarded during the 2019-20 academic year, 136 were to New York State residents. A little more than half of all graduate degrees — 102 — were awarded to Staten Islanders.
For those earning bachelor’s degrees this year, the top majors were:
- 129 — Nursing (54 for their first bachelor’s, 75 for those earning their second degree)
- 67 — Business Administration
- 39 – Physician Assistant
- 34 — Theater
- 33 — Psychology
- 20 — Arts Administration
- 18 — Sociology
- 13 — Biology
- 12 — Childhood Education
- 10 — Anthropology
- 10 — Microbiology
The graduate degrees Wagner awarded this year fell into four categories:
- 11 in microbiology,
- 23 in education,
- 59 in business, and
- 94 in healthcare.
The healthcare category included:
- 50 M.S. Nursing degrees,
- 35 M.S. Physician Assistant degrees,
- 8 Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees, and
- 1 post-graduate nursing certificate (Family Nurse Practitioner)
