Wagner College is once again listed among 251 colleges and universities named to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society's 2025 Transfer Honor Roll. This award is in recognition of the enterprising ways Wagner has created to help support transfer students during their transition from community colleges to private schools. Wagner College is one of only 5 New York City schools to receive the distinction this year. Over 900 college and universities compete for recognition on this listing.
P
hi Theta Kappa recognizes these distinctions based on forty metrics. The top four are:
- Success rates of transfer students
- Campus friendliness and sense of belonging
- Availability of need- and merit-based financial aid
- Acceptance of transfer credits toward a four-year degree program
- Recruitment experience and campus life for transfers
“We are proud of this recognition that speaks to our counseling efforts and one-to-one assistance for college students looking to transfer into Wagner,” said James Plunkett, assistant vice president and dean of admissions.
“We’ve worked hard and thoughtfully to create both a smooth transfer process and a welcoming community for all transfer students,” he said.
Wagner College will welcome multiple new transfer students to campus for the Fall 2025 semester.
