All Wagner students are invited to work for or submit content to Wagner's student-led publications: the Wagnerian and the Beacon. These two teams are looking for reporters, writers, content submissions, and voices from all academic majors. Both publications will be available digitally starting this spring.
The Wagnerian
Any student interested in working on the student newspaper can sign up for JR011-01 (half unit) or JR011-02 (zero unit) or contact the faculty advisor Claire Regan at claire.regan@wagner.edu and wagnerian@wagner.edu. The Wagnerian has traditionally been print-only but is going digital this spring. The Wagnerian seeks interested students to expand its staff: reporters, editors, photographers and, now, those interested in assisting the newspaper's digital launch.
The Wagner Beacon (formerly Nimbus)
The Wagner Beacon is the relaunch of the campus literary arts magazine and will publish its first digital issue this April. (Nimbus, the former student-edited literary arts magazine, ran for decades but fell out of publication before the pandemic.) The Wagner Beacon publishes student poetry, short fiction, literary nonfiction (essays), student visual art and photography. If you would like to join the team as staff, readers or voices in the room, please write to faculty advisor, Eric Dean Wilson (eric.wilson@wagner.edu and cc wagnerbeacon@gmail.com). The Wagner Beacon will accept student work now through February 14, 2024. Students can submit their literary and artistic work here.
