Wagner College is excited to honor and celebrate the Class of 2025.
The College’s undergraduate commencement will take place at 9:30 a.m. on May 16. The commencement for those who have earned graduate degrees will be at 4:30 p.m. on May 15.

Andrew Cortese ’72
Andrew Cortese is the retired Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for AIG Global Services, where he was responsible for operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He previously held leadership roles at JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs.
Over the course of his 44-year career, Cortese lived and worked across the globe—including in Milan, Geneva, and London—and also served as an advisor to the Department of Homeland Security and the American Red Cross. A former member of the Wagner College Board of Trustees, he and his wife, current trustee Natalie (Migliaro) Cortese ’92, have been generous supporters of the college. Their gifts include the naming of the Cortese Multi-Purpose Room at Hameline Stadium and an endowed scholarship for business students.
Andrew Cortese will be awarded an honorary doctorate at the graduate commencement ceremony.
The Rev. Paul Egensteiner ’79
Bishop Paul Egensteiner recently completed a six-year term as bishop of the Metropolitan New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. His pastoral career began on Staten Island, where he led Immanuel Lutheran Church from 1984 to 1997, and continued at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville, N.Y.
A dedicated servant-leader and current Wagner College trustee, Bishop Egensteiner will be awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of his lifelong commitment to faith, leadership, and community. Bishop Egensteiner will also deliver remarks at the undergraduate ceremony.
