Dr. Brenta Blevins will conduct a virtual workshop focusing on composition techniques to create more interesting and effective photos. The workshop will discuss how photography can be used as a form of storytelling.
The participants will learn how to use their photos as a way of expressing themselves, sharing their experiences, and connecting with audiences. Attendees will also gain an understanding of how to use storytelling techniques such as narrative, emotion, symbolism, and genre to make their photos more engaging and meaningful. Lastly, if time allows, students will learn about the importance of making photos accessible and the inclusion of alt text.
This workshop will be geared towards students, but faculty and staff are welcome to join as well.
