Donate to the NYC Rescue Mission

March 22, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Wagner Union Atrium Table 1

As the number of homeless individuals has risen, homelessness has become a central feature of life in America. A highly troubling issue is that most view homeless individuals as a crowd, one entity; we call them the homeless, as if that is their identity. What most forget is that these are people suffering from homelessness rather than an identity of homelessness. While many believe they don't owe anyone help, a little generosity could go a long way on the road to lowering homeless numbers around the world. 'The New York City Rescue Mission exists to provide help and hope to the hungry, homeless and hurting men and women of New York City.
On Friday, March 22nd from 12 - 4pm Pre-Law Society member, Bryce Palmyra, will be hosting a community action project in Union to raise awareness and put together care packages that will be donated to the NYC Rescue Mission. Donations (or helping hands!) are needed to bring this project to life.
Examples of acceptable donations are:
-toiletries (bar soap, toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant)
-packaged snacks
-encouraging notes
Stop by the atrium in Union with donations, learn about the cause, and help bring this project to life!
