We’re excited to announce plans for an Expanding Your Horizons travel course that will bring our learning to life in southern Spain during spring break. This EYH is offered as a two-course ILC. You will take both AH291: Art and Architecture in Southern Spain and TH291: Theatre at a Crossroads: Plays of Andalusia. (ILC Course details can be found here)
Please join us for an information session this Friday at 3:00 in Main Hall 13. We encourage in-person attendance, but there is also a Zoom link here.
Our world has never been smaller, and we believe traveling is crucial to your education. Our itinerary will be a mix of cultural, hands-on, and educational activities—and of course a lot of fun, too! Some highlights include:
* Historic tour of Madrid and the Prado Museum
* Flamenco Dancing and Cooking Class
* Medieval palaces in Seville and Granada
* Day at the beach in Cadiz
Travel Dates: 3/16-26 (4 days Madrid, 3 days Seville, 1 day Cordoba, 1 day Granada)
We have chosen southern Spain, the area known as Andalusia, because of the amazing cultural diversity spanning from the seventh century to the modern era. Each city brings excitement and special art, architecture and theatrical engagements that will supplement our course materials from back home at Wagner. This truly is a life-changing trip, the kind of learning experience you’ll talk about long after graduation.
This is an ideal travel opportunity if you are not able to take a semester abroad, but still want to travel in a supportive and fun environment with your Wagner community. All travel arrangements are being planned and insured by Wagner and our amazing global travel partner World Strides; logistics, your health, and safety are of top priority.
We hope to see you at the information session on Friday. We will talk about the trip, logistics, and answer questions you may have. Registration for the class/trip requires permission of the instructor (one of us). So, if you cannot make the meeting, be sure to get in touch with us!
Beginning next week we will share a custom website where you can learn more about the opportunity.
If you have questions, please contact either of us.
We look forward to traveling with many of you!
