Faculty Forum, Dr. Abe Unger

March 2, 2020 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

This Faculty Forum featuring Dr. Abe Unger will present his research on "What Scholarship Can Mean: An Interdisciplinary Sabbatical." Unger’s fall 2019 sabbatical was framed by his work as an interdisciplinary scholar of political science and theology alongside a commitment to public life. He received an appointment as visiting research scholar in Fordham University’s political science department, which has been renewed this semester. Unger also worked with Fordham’s McGinley Chair in Religion and Society. During his sabbatical, Unger received three other research appointments that speak to public life. He was named a senior research fellow at NYU’s Marron Institute of Urban Management, a senior fellow at the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America’s Center for Communal Research, and research director of the Hugh L. Carey Institute for Government Reform at Wagner College.
