Studies indicate that opportunities to serve others, whether in civic, private, or professional settings, as well as charitable giving, result in a stronger sense of purpose and meaning in life, leading to better mental and physical well-being.

Michael Kirby-McGann is a 7th Grade History teacher and musician in Harlem, New York City. He is a former Wagner Class of ‘17 alum who studied Education and Psychology and has since earned a Master’s degree in General and Special Education (Grades 5-12).
