Public art is seen as an agent of change for communities, but how can that impact be measured? Isabelle Garbani, a Brooklyn-based artist, will compare two public art events: the Philly Painting project, completed in 2012 in North Philadelphia, and the Farm/Art DTour, a recurring yearly art festival in Reedsburg, Wis. Issues of financial impact vs. cultural impact will be discussed, along with strategies to evaluate art projects with limited resources. Lecture co-sponsored by Wagner College’s Academic & Cultural Enrichment Series and the Art, Art History and Film Department.
