Vocal Synergy and members of the Performing Arts Department along with Women of Wagner are going to meet at 4:10 on the steps of Main Hall to sing and share a moment of solidarity with protests in Washington DC as the Supreme Court takes up Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which bars employers from discriminating against employees on the basis of sex as well as race, color, national origin and religion.
The Trump Administration is arguing that Title VII does not protect gay and transgender people.
Vocal Synergy will sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" along with one or two other songs on the steps of Main Hall as we celebrate LGBTQ and Trans rights, indeed the right for all to a comfortable gender expression.
