A celebration of the music and lives of African American creators and activists featuring jazz, blues, gospel, spirituals, funk, R & B with music by D'Angelo, India Arie, Sam Cooke, Duke Ellington, Harry "Sweets" Edison, TAKE 6 and Roger Wesby's "I Will Arise" in honor of the Charleston Nine.
Special guest Dorian Lake and performances by Wagner College Choir, Stretto vocal jazz ensemble, Espresso vocal jazz ensemble, and the Wagner College Jazz Orchestra.
