Panel discussion on FYP reading selection
Please join us for “Tales of Survival: Refugees of Genocide in NYC.” This panel discussion will feature four Wagner College students — Yvonne Taylor (freshman), Gabrielle Tricorico (freshman), Rebecca Barrett (freshman, Theater) and Carl-Olivier Prime (senior, History) — along with English professor Eloise Brezault and history professor M. Ousmane Traore. Their discussion will respond to the New York Times best-seller and Wagner FYP summer reading selection, “Strength in What Remains,” written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Kidder. Kidder relates one man’s inspiring American journey from homelessness in Central Park to Columbia University Medical School after surviving genocide and civil war in Burundi and Rwanda.
