Wagner College Theatre’s “Dance Project 2014” will run from Tuesday, April 29 through Sunday, May 4 in the Stage One studio theater. This year’s program features partnered dance, from swing to styles inspired by Martha Graham.
Directed and choreographed by Rusty Curcio and Joe Palmer, the cast of students includes Brittany Cataruzza, Brian Falduto, Serina Figueiras, Daniella Garofalo, Dana Gough, Kelly Hubbell, Tommy Joscelyn, Becky Grace Kalman, Darnell Kenney, Beth Miller, Jeff Mills, Jonathan Quigley, Jason Rath and Kelly Swint. Nina Weber is production stage manager.
In addition to the “Dance Project 2014” performances, a variety of other dance activities will be held throughout campus that week, including original choreography, open dance classes, dance on the Sutter Oval and a guest workshop by renowned choreographer Claire Porter.
Performances of “The Dance Project” are Tuesday, April 29 through Saturday, May 3 at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.

On Sunday, May 4 at 4 p.m. in Staten Island’s Trinity Lutheran Church, 309 St. Paul’s Ave., please join the Wagner College Choir for a performance of Maurice Duruflé’s “Requiem, Opus 9,” considered quite possibly the most beautiful choral work of the 20th century. The performance, conducted by Roger Wesby, will feature Anthony Turner (baritone), Rebecca Schuessler (mezzo-soprano) and David Enlow on the organ. Also included on the program will be works by Sweelinck, Schütz, Poulenc and Messiaen performed by the Chamber Singers and by the Hildegard Ensemble, conducted by Beth Johanning. Admission is $15.
