Citizen Preparedness Corps Program

New York State is offering courses for residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions.

Transnational Project: Reunification of Migrant Families

On Thursday, October 1 at 6 p.m. in Wagner College's Spiro Hall 2, please join Comite Ñani Migrante for a seminar entitled “Transnational Families: Staten Island & San Jerónimo de Puebla.”

The program will address the mutual needs of Port Richmond immigrants from San Jerónimo, and San Jerónimo residents who have relatives in Port Richmond. The keynote speaker will be Marco Antonio Castillo Martínez, a noted social anthropologist and rural community organizer in Mexico who has worked with several migrant communities in the Northeastern U.S. Also participating will be two Port Richmond residents who emigrated from San Jerónimo, and one or two residents of San Jerónimo.

This is a historical event in which you will learn about the Reunification of Migrant Families.

Fall Sorority Recruitment: Tau Kappa Sigma Check-In

Women interested in joining Tau Kappa Sigma are invited to join the sisters to learn more about their organization. Please meet at 8:45pm in Towers D3 Annex to check in with Panhel prior to going to the Interest Party. All women are able to attend the party. First year students and first semester sophomores will be dismissed at 9:45pm. Please see below for full eligibility.

Only full time Wagner College students can receive a bid during the recruitment process. Women who are NOT first year students, first semester transfer students or Graduate students are eligible for participation. Becoming a new member of a
fraternity or sorority at Wagner College is governed by the rules established and administered through the College.
The following regulations govern eligibility for both men and women:
• Student must be currently enrolled and have completed a minimum of 4 units at Wagner College.
• Student must have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average earned at Wagner College.
• Student must be a full-time Wagner College student.
• Student must be in good disciplinary standing.
