Oktoberfest Brunch Ticket Sales

This Sunday, Oct. 23 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Flagship Brewery in St. George, Staten Island, join the Student Alumni Association for an Oktoberfest Brunch. Kick off your Halloweek festivities by sharing a few drinks with friends, games like corn hole and giant Jenga, a bite to eat and a fun time. Your ticket includes bar food provided by Pier 76 and Philly Pretzel Factory, as well as access to exclusive drink specials for those who are 21+. Advance tickets are $5, but $10 cash at the door.

Artist’s talk: Ingrid Capozzoli Flinn

The Wagner College Gallery will host a talk by artist Ingrid Capozzoli Flinn, whose exhibit of figure paintings is currently on display in the gallery. The talk is free and open to the public. The paintings will be on display until Nov. 4. The gallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday until 9 p.m.

Sodomy, Safety and Visibility: A Modern Global View

Identity Quilt

The Identity Quilt Program an opportunity for students to create a piece to show their own identity. Each piece will then be made into a quilt that will hang in the Multicultural Room. The quilt will show that everyone is unique and make up a diverse community. During the arts & craft project we will have informal discussion about diverse and what it means to each of us. All materials are provided.

Wagner College Foreign Language Film Festival

Wagner College International Film Festival 2016: Immigration, Exile and Displacement

We will hold five nights of films from different countries, revolving around the theme of immigration, exile and displacement

Prior to each screening, students in Modern Languages will be hosting a $1.00 popcorn sale. All proceeds will be donated to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

The Secret of the Grain, (2007), France/Tunisia, Dir. Abdellatif Kechiche - a drama about a Tunisian immigrant in France who is confronted with French Bureaucracy as he tries to open a restaurant. The film will be introduced by French student Sophia Wright.
