Through the Night: The Vera Gissing Story

Join the Holocaust Ed Program for a short film and talk back.

Through the Night is inspired by Holocaust survivor Vera Gissing's testimony.

A young Jewish girl, Vera treasures her Catholic friend Marta as they grow up in a small town on the outskirts of Prague, Czechoslovakia. Even in the darkest days of the war and despite the risks, Marta maintains her promises to Vera's family despite their religious differences. (USC Shoah Foundation).

Archaeology Society of Staten Island Lecture, “Stones of the Butterfly”

Dr. Scott M. Fitzpatrick will present his lecture Stones of the Butterfly: Archaeological Investigation of Yapese Stone Money Quarries in Palau, Micronesia.

Event is hosted by the Archaeology Society of Staten Island in coordination with the Wagner College Anthropology Department. Admission is free to students, staff, and faculty with a Wagner ID.
