Performing & Visual Arts Majors Fair Info Table
Hosted by the Center for Academic and Career Engagement (CACE), and in collaboration with all faculty and academic departments, the Majors Fair this spring is a series of area-specific events for students to meet with faculty and find out about majors, minors, courses, and careers in different fields. The events can help students gather all the information they need to decide on a major or minor, as well as to prepare for upcoming advisement and registration.
“You Can’t Understand the Americas Without Africa”, Black History Month Lecture
Dr. Sheila Walker will discuss her fieldwork in the area of the global African diaspora.
Dr. Walker is a cultural anthropologist and documentary filmmaker, who has done fieldwork, lectured, and participated in cultural events in most of Africa and the global African diaspora. She currently serves as executive director of Afrodiaspora, Inc., with the goal to share her experiences and knowledge of the global African diaspora.
