Join speaker Joyce Short for her lecture on sexual predators. Short is a sexual assault survivor and the author of three books, including “Your Consent: The Key to Conquering Sexual Assault,” which has inspired legislative bills in several states. Short is the founder of the Consent Awareness Network, which works with legislators to create consent-based laws across the U.S. and around the world. Honored as a woman of distinction by the New York State Assembly, she has been featured in news stories on “Nightline,” Buzzfeed, “Inside Edition” and the New York Times. Join Wagner's Pre-Law Society for a conversation with attorney William P. Perniciaro, a 1983 Wagner econ/business grad who earned his law degree from Boston University. He will talk about his experience as a lawyer and answer questions anyone has about becoming one. (Even if you are not necessarily interested in pursuing law, he is a great person to know!) Pizza and snacks will be served!
