9/11 Interfaith Memorial Tribute

September 11, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 12:00 pm

On Friday, Sept. 11 at 11:30 a.m., Wagner College will commemorate the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks with an Interfaith Memorial Tribute via Zoom.

Wagner College's Campus Ministry, led by Volunteer Chaplain/Professor Holly Bonner and Sr. Kathy Logan, Campus Minister, will host interfaith members of the NYS Chaplains Task Force, including the Rev. Dr. Marcos Miranda (Pentecostal), Imam Hamayun Baksh (Muslim), Rabbi Abraham L. Rabinovich (Jewish) and Fr. Mike Lopez (Catholic).

President Joel W. Martin will provide opening remarks and welcome the chaplains on behalf of the campus community. Each chaplain will reflect on the significance of this historic day, offering both theological and civic perspectives on how campus community members can honor, through service, the memory of those tragically lost.

“America the Beautiful” will be sung by Wagner student Miles Wilke.

The tribute will conclude with a reading of the names of the departed alumni members of the Wagner College family.

Pre-registration required! Register at wagner.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYqcOqgpzwrGdJiSacid0TI0B5YeoqAR1_4.
