Italian Idol Competition
In celebration of Italian Heritage Month, the Wagner College Department of Music and the Da Vinci Society invites you to an afternoon of classical Italian art songs and arias performed by our talented students. Students compete for prizes from a $1000 first prize to a $200 prize for honorable mention.
A top-tier panel of world-renowned judges includes Ms. Lauren Flanigan (Metropolitan Opera), Mr. Wayne Sanders (Opera Ebony), Mr. Kevin Johnson (Lyric Opera Chicago).
An additional scholarship to the Orfeo Vocal Arts Academy in Dresden, Germany will be offered to the first prize winner by Professor Alan Dornak.
Admission is free and open to Wagner College administration, faculty, staff, and students.
‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’
Join Shakespeare on the Oval for this story of whimsical, hilarious adventure. Patrons must provide proof of vaccination upon arrival and are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. Members of the Wagner community as well as outside friends and family are permitted to attend. Three performances are scheduled: Friday at 5 p.m., Saturday at 3 p.m., and Sunday at 5 p.m.
Alma Presents: Elevated Voices
Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage month with a showcase and open mic night including music, poetry, comedy, spoken word and singing.
