Lunicorns: Trans Migrant Rights

Join Wagner College modern languages professor Margarita Sanchez via Zoom for her talk about “Lunicorns: Trans Migrants Fighting for their Lives and their Rights.” Lunicorns is the first LGBTQ Latinex group on Staten Island. In her presentation, Sanchez will talk about the stories of some members of the group, their past experience of abuse in their countries of origin, the process of changing their names and requesting asylum in the United States, and their work as ambassadors of their cultures.
