Off-campus gallery reception: Bill Murphy
Two pieces by Wagner College art professor Bill Murphy will be on display in “Parent Portraits,” a group exhibition at the Westbeth Gallery, 57 Bethune St. in Manhattan’s West Villege. The exhibition, which will focus on artists’ representations of their parents, will be on display from Saturday, May 11 through Saturday, June 8. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., or by appointment. An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 4 to 8 p.m. A closing reception is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 5 to 7 p.m. Murphy’s submissions are “My Mother” (charcoal, 2015) and “Ella” (drypoint etching, 2017).
