Earth Day: Street Clean Up

As part of Civic Engagement Recognition Week and in recognition of Earth Day the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement encourages you to assist with street clean up efforts on Port Richmond Avenue.

Meet at the CLCE Office in Union Room 203 at 9:30am to catch the shuttle to Port Richmond.

Nursing students will be on hand to take measurements.

“Come Together”, Choir Performance

Join us for Dr. Roger Wesby’s final concert as a conductor of Wagner College Choirs. The Chamber Singers and Stretto vocal ensemble will offer a special concert in celebration of their work this year. The program will be richly varied and also rich in Beatles tunes and Americana. The program includes works by renaissance master Palestrina, settings of the Song of Solomon by Healey Willan, Edward Bairstow and Carson Cooman, the exquisite Trois chansons of Debussy, evocative nocturnes by Samuel Barber and Eriks Esenvalds, and an imaginative and entertaining experiment in sound by Jake Runstadt. Beatles offerings will include Come together, Yesterday, Eleanor Rigby, Michelle, and She said she said. The bluegrass-tinged Americana will include Down in the River to Pray, Come, Holy Spirit, Come and Unclouded Day. The concert will conclude with a gospel song and a spiritual.

International Poetry Night

Did you know that April is National Poetry Month? Join the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures for International Poetry Night. This year’s event will include the one-act Argentinian play, “The Story of a Man Who Turned Into a Dog,” directed by theater major Ross Coughlin. Mexican food from Port Richmond’s Los Potrillos will be served.

Wagner College Concert Band Performs at SI Tech

April 15, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Wagner College Concert Band joins the Staten Island Technical High School Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band to perform music from John Williams, John Philip Sousa, and Clifton Williams.

Additionally, the Wagner College string ensemble will be joining the Staten Island technical high school string ensemble. This concert is free to the public.
