Museum Studies Exhibit Opening

May 11, 2023 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Please join art and art history students from this semester’s museum studies class for the opening of their class-project exhibition, “Decolonization, Repatriation and Transparency in Ancient Art Collections.”

The exhibition, inspired by recent seizures and returns of contested artifacts in museums, features student’s research and recommendations for how we might more justly consider objects of cultural significance outside of their context of origin.

During the opening reception, students will briefly share what they learned, and snacks will be provided. The exhibition will be on display through the end of August. For questions, email sarah.scott@wagner.edu.

Location: Horrmann Library Spotlight Gallery
