HI291 & EYH Spring Break in Paris/Normandy

Join us to walk the Champs-Élysées, climb the Eiffel Tower, experience a show at the Moulin Rouge, tour Paris by boat, visit Holocaust memorials and deportation sites, search in the Louvre for art stolen by the Nazis and stand at Omaha beach, one of the landing sites of D-Day. Meet and talk with community leaders of all faiths, ethnic backgrounds and abilities as we make meaning of World War II and the Holocaust in a life-changing journey during 9 days abroad.

As part of the Expanding Your Horizons program students will also enroll in HI291: WW2 and the Holocaust in Paris and Normandy. For full course description and EYH visit wagner.edu/intercultural/education-abroad/expanding-your-horizons/.

Israeli-style Shabbat Dinner

Hillel of Wagner College invites you to join us for an Israeli-style Shabbat dinner, featuring falafel, hummus, challah and other delicious kosher food. Students will light candles. A special guest and community member, Randy Topper, will lead brief musical tefilah/prayers and songs. Students, staff and faculty of all faiths are welcome. Dramatic reading: 2022 Stanley Drama Award-winning play

Join us for a dramatic reading of the 2022 Stanley Drama Award-winning play, "Marilyn, Mom and Me" by Luke Yankee, directed by Mickey Tennenbaum.

Current junior performance major Mackenzie Quinn Ross will be playing Marilyn Monroe. Also in the reading cast will be adjunct professor Joey Donnelly, who will play the role of Luke Yankee; adjunct faculty member Michael Pinto as Arthur Miller; Staten Island arts stalwart Jeannine Otis as Rosetta/ Ella Fitzgerald, and Karen O'Donnell Tennenbaum reading the role of Eileen Heckert.

The Stanley Drama Award was established in 1957 by Mrs. Alma Timolat Stanley in conjunction with the Stanley-Timolat Foundation. The national competition is administered by the Wagner College Theatre, with past judges including such notables as playwrights Edward Albee and Paul Zindel, actresses Geraldine Page and Kim Stanley, and producer David Susskind. Past winners, which were chosen for this award before they were professionally produced, have included such groundbreaking works as “Ceremonies in Dark Old Men” by Lonne Elder III and “Rent” by Jonathan Larson.
