Iolanthe or the Peer and the Peri

The story concerns a band of immortal fairies who find themselves at odds with the House of Peers.

Libretto by W. S. Gilbert.

The opera satirizes many aspects of British government and law. Iolanthe is a fantastical satire delighting audiences with its clever combination of romance, humor, political satire, and the memorable musical numbers that made Gilbert and Sullivan household names.

Island Voice Youth Summit

On February 27, 2016 Island Voice Inc. will have its 10th Annual Youth Empowerment Summit.

The summit will be held at Wagner College’s Spiro Hall from 11- 5pm.

In the morning from 11am - 12pm there will be a business/information session with Wagner College Center for Career Engagement for local business owners.

This year the youth summit will cover the topics of: Substance Abuse, Technology, Immigration, Girls Empowerment, and NYPD Community Engagement.

The goal of the 10th annual youth empowerment summit is to provide at risk youths from Staten Island and outer boroughs with the experience of attending classes on a college campus.

Each room will address the topics through workshops, panels, Q&A discussions and interactive ways of learning and interacting with the youths.

Winter on the Hill

Join Wagner alumni and friends and return to campus for Winter on the Hill as we support the men’s basketball team and the acclaimed Wagner College Theatre Department!

During the afternoon, the Seahawks will take on the Colonials from Robert Morris in a 4:00 p.m. tilt in the Spiro Sports Center. Following the game, an alumni dinner will be served in the Faculty Dining Room before the 8 PM curtain-call for IOLANTHE, presented by Wagner College Theatre in Main Hall.
