Wagner College was ranked among America’s Top Colleges for 2022 on the annual list published by Forbes magazine this summer. Forbes released its 14th annual list of America’s Top Colleges on Aug. 30.
This is Wagner College’s ninth appearance in a row on the highly selective Forbes Top Colleges list, which includes less than 25% of American schools.
Wagner College was ranked #382 in the nation.
“We’re proud to spotlight the colleges and universities that are offering top academics and career success while minimizing debt for students across America,” said Emma Whitford, senior education reporter at Forbes. “We know that a college degree is a significant investment for any student, and one that’s been compounded by recent years of financial turmoil for many. This list reflects the public and private universities that are going above and beyond to deliver on that investment.”
The magazine ranks colleges and universities in the U.S. based on the return on investment and outcomes they deliver for their students. Schools place well if their students graduate on time, secure high salaries and low debt, and go on to successful careers.
For its America’s Top Colleges ranking study, Forbes chose doctoral research universities, master’s universities and colleges and baccalaureate colleges, as well as colleges that offer specialized programs in engineering, business and art. It excluded schools with fewer than 300 undergraduates and spun out the five federal military academies.
Data for the study came from two federal government databases — the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and the College Scorecard — as well as the Seattle-based software and data company PayScale, the Washington, D.C.-based public policy think tank Third Way, the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics, and some of Forbes’s own lists.
