The Evelyn L. Spiro School of Nursing at Wagner College hosted its 43rd Sigma International Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Monday evening in the Manzulli Board Room.
The event celebrated the academic excellence, leadership, and character of 26 undergraduate and graduate nursing students who were formally inducted into the prestigious honor society.
Guest speakers included Dr. Jazzmine Clarke-Glover, Wagner’s executive vice president and chief of staff, and Dr. Judy McLaughlin, chief nursing officer at Northwell Health, who shared inspiring messages about the future of nursing and the importance of ethical leadership in health care.
“This special event honored and inducted undergraduate and graduate nursing students into the SIGMA International Nursing Honor Society,” said Dr. Nancy Cherofsky, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, NP-C, SIGMA Epsilon Mu Chapter President. “These nursing students represent not only high GPAs, but also ethical and moral character and are the future of outstanding role models and leaders in the field of nursing. The nursing department is so proud of all of the students inducted.”
The SIGMA International Honor Society recognizes nurses who demonstrate superior academic achievement, leadership potential, and dedication to the values of the nursing profession.
It was a night of pride and inspiration for the Wagner Nursing community as faculty, family, and friends gathered to honor the next generation of nursing leaders.
