Wagner College's Black History Month Committee is proud to announce its month of programming designed to celebrate and recognize the rich contributions of African Americans. Black History Month first started as a week-long celebration in February 1926, established by Carter G. Woodson. In 1976, the Association for the Study of African American History initiated the shift to have a month-long celebration.
