Wagner College is winning accolades for the success of its graduates and the value of its education.
Washington Monthly’s 2026 College Guide ranked Wagner in the top 16 percent of schools in the country for “outcomes” — a calculation the magazine defined as “using actual versus predicted earnings of students four years after graduation.” Overall, Wagner was ranked 173 out of nearly 400 schools in the Northeast — a giant step from 250 th place last year.
Washington Monthly’s annual College Guide scores higher education institutions on “how much they help ordinary middle- and working-class students get ahead in life, and whether they encourage those students to participate in their democracy,” according to the magazine.
The “2027 Best Colleges” rank at Niche.com closely tracks Washington Monthly’s finding — with Wagner in the top 14 percent of “Best Value Colleges in America.”
The Niche listing uses U.S. Department of Education data to rank “colleges that are the best value for your money based on net price, alumni earnings, graduation rates, and student debt.”
“It’s great to see so many others recognize the power of a Wagner education to transform lives and build success for our students,” said President Jeffrey Doggett.
Earlier this fall, Princeton Review’s annual “Best Colleges” guide called Wagner one of the nation’s 50 “Colleges that Create Futures.” They once again also ranked Wagner College Theatre in the top five of collegiate musical theater programs in the country. Wagner was also called out in Time Magazine’s inaugural “Best Colleges” edition.
